Sheila Johnston
"I set aside my dream of being an artist when I was in my early 20s, it just didn't seem plausible to raise a family and do art at the same time. Over the years, I'd open my art box filled with supplies from the early 90s just to smell it. Then in late 2016 I decided to "just try", and sat down with a handful of colored pencils and an old sketch pad - my life would never be the same again!
I love the process of capturing emotion, and always strive to pass that along in my paintings. My hope is that my work creates connections, that it invokes a memory or a feeling, and ideally leaves a positive imprint on someone's day."
